Robbers raid bookies

 ROBBERS stole thousands of pounds in a late night raid on a betting shop.

 At around 9.40pm on last night (June 12) two men entered the BetFred, Station Road, Redhill, store and threatened staff before making off with their haul.

 The pair, described as a black man, around 5ft 11ins in height, wearing a chequered scarf across his face, a bandana on his head an black bomber style jacket and his accomplice another black man also wearing a scarf across his face and a bandana, are believed to have departed on foot in the direction of Warwick Road.

 Officers carried out a full area search and will carry out house-to-house enquiries. Police also want to speak to a boy, was seen in the area on a BMX bike at the time, as he may hold vital information.

 Investigating Officer Detective Constable Karen Bradley, said: “Surrey Police will not tolerate this kind of behaviour and officers are doing all we can to find those responsible and to bring them to justice.”
