Further to the refusal of the previous applications for the site, which were described in our January article (here: http://www.redhillcouncillors.co.uk/2012/01/applications-received-for-replacement-offices-and-new-flats-on-london-road/), the Council has received revised plans for a new office block and block of flats on the site of the Crown Buildings.
The main changes are that the office building has been reduced in height and overall bulk, and that the numbe rof flats has been reduced from 14 to 10. The full planning documents for both applications can be accessed below, and by following the links you can also comment directly on each application.
The Council’s planning officers are now examining the plans in detail, and before it can be approved it will need to come to the Council’s Planning Committee. We will publish or tweet further information as and when we receive it.
